The Immigrant Centre depends on volunteers to enhance its services to newcomers. Here is a list of some of the ways volunteers are involved at the Immigrant Centre:
- One-to-one Citizenship Tutor – 2 hour weekly commitment, aiding a newcomer in preparation for their citizenship test.
to-one English Tutor – 2 hour weekly commitment, supporting a newcomer in developing their English language.
The minimum commitment is two hours per week for a 3-month period, depending on the opportunity. Please browse our website to learn more about our services.
If you are interested in volunteering at the Immigrant Centre please complete the on-line application. Volunteer Services will be in contact with you to arrange an over-the-phone or in-person interview. If you do not receive a response within 1 week, please contact Ann at (204) 943-9969 ext. 300 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that applicants are subject to a screening and selection process. Even though a volunteer position is listed, there may not be current openings for that position.
