September 30 marked another great Workplace Entry Program(WEP) Graduation! We had 15 WEP students graduate from 10 diverse countries such as Afghanistan, China, Congo, Comoros, Eritrea, Ethiopia, India, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and Somalia. The WEP students’ speeches were heart-warming and inspiring.
The Immigrant Centre staff members along with guests from Service Canada Program Officer: Kelly Bilawka, Immigrant Centre Board Member Deborah Harri, Ianthe Warner (Winnipeg Technical College-WTC Industry Training Facilitator), and Amritpal (WTC Practicum Student) were all present. Neighbourhood Immigrant Settlement Workers(NISW) Practicum Students were also present. Encouraging speeches were provided by Kelly (Program Officer)and Ms.Ko(WEP Coordinating Teacher). WEP certificates were handed out to the proud and happy WEP graduates. The WEP Graduation speeches concluded with the Workplace Entry Program students wonderful speeches. It was an amazing event! Thanks, everyone for your support and care!
